Course outline: Boy's Self-Defense and De-escalation
This class will be taught by Dorian Wiederholt Kassar,a long-time student of André Salvage who has been teaching within his program for the last three years, including weekend workshops on self-defense and lectures at schools throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and at Rancho la Puerto this July. A dynamic speaker, Dorian gives talks on a range of topics including street safety, assertiveness, consent, and the bubble. He feels lucky to have learned the skills of awareness, assertiveness, and hands-on training, and hopes to share these gifts with as many people as possible.
André Salvage has been teaching self-defense and assault and rape prevention in Marin, San Francisco, and throughout the United States for over thirty years. André’s background, natural abilities, sensitivity and concern for the safety of his seven children have helped him create effective, easy-to-learn self-protection programs for people of all ages.
