I'm looking forward to spending the day tomorrow with the Branson seniors during Student Health Day. I'll be sharing my Assertiveness and Awareness lecture, followed by hands-on Self-Defense training with my team.
Branson Seniors... if you want to review what I cover, you can download the College Bound Assault Prevention Book.
It was a pleasure and a privilege for André Salvage and Associates to spend Monday with the Mercy Housing team. We covered many skills and scenarios, but the key is: as long as you're breathing, you're present...As long as you're present, you're communicating from your true nature...And as long as you communicate from your True Nature, conflicts can be resolved.
On Thursday April 5th 7pm
TEDxMarin SALON is taking a deeper dive into our next generation of Boys. They will discuss RESEARCH from the new book The Boy Crisis, covering a span of 11 years and 63 developed countries. It reveals that boys (compared to girls) are falling behind all over the world in social development, math and science, why they are far more prone to violence, bad behavior and suicide, how this connects to the #metoo movement and global terrorism, and most importantly, what we might all do about it.

For high school seniors, going off to college is both an exciting and challenging time. I want to thank the seniors of Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa for giving me the opportunity to share a few principles, skills and anecdotes about ways to survive college and beyond. Remember, being a selective connector limits your opportunities to gain wisdom from people who are different than you.
If your assailant has a weapon or there is more than one attacker, there are real practical skills you can learn to defend yourself against these possibilities. In our level two woman’s assault prevention class, the participants did extraordinarily well with these skills. Thanks to all of you that attended and remember to drop by the studio on a Saturday morning to refresh the learning.
I’d like to thank the staff and managers of NCPHS for allowing André Salvage and Associates the opportunity to share the tools and skills to resolve and de-escalate problem situations. Sometimes we also have to set boundaries in a way that keeps relationships. This can be a little challenging, but I felt everyone in the workshop was able to grasp the importance of that learning.
When dealing with the reality and the uncertainty of a street altercation, one must have the presence of mind to be in the moment, the resiliency of body to draw upon your training, and the intuitive skills to let your True Nature handle the situation.

It was a pleasure to work with you over two days on conflict resolution and de-escalation as well as other skills you need to be safe and successful. I will see you again in January; until then, practice... and remember to breathe!
Thank you, Security Vault Works, for allowing me and my crew the opportunity to share what we know about Effectively Communicating. I was very impressed with your openness to communicating from one’s true nature instead of the closed, guarded and fearful way of the Ego.
I want to thank those who “volunteered” to do role play, demonstrating the tools we learned and de-escalating the situations that periodically arise. Thank you again, and remember to breathe.
Thank you to all the girls who attended yesterday’s Girls’ Assault Prevention class. Even with the smoke and ash we were able to practice asserting ourselves, especially to people we know, and learned how to defend ourselves against someone with a knife and multiple attackers.
Thank you, Elizabeth, for spearheading this wonderful fighting group of girls. Please come by on any Saturday to refresh and remember.
