WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Young people who are raised in environments dominated by poverty and violence are often traumatized into a lifestyle hopelessness, helplessness and dread. This way of thinking is self limiting and the main reason so many people only get so far in life then stop. This workshop is designed to help young people remove this mindset that sub-consciously tells them they are unworthy and their goals unreachable.
In a safe environment we will share with each student how this consciousness was developed and with honest discussion, creative role-play and daily practices, show them how to change their poverty consciousness to one of abundance.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE

Lecture and Discussion:

Andre Salvage and Associates will conduct a lecture outlining the problem and causes of a poverty consciousness.

During the lecture we will discuss:

• Recognizing poverty consciousness
  
• The power of your intuition
  
• What are the habits of a poverty consciousness
  
• Beginning now to change their lives.
  
• How to survive in a negative environment.
  

Discussion, role play and activities:

• Self-worth activities (removing the hopelessness)
  
• Writing activities to learn the difference between necessary concerns and trivial ones
  
• Trusting oneself
  
• Recognizingthe habits they have developed that hinder success
  
• How cool posing, high attitudes and aggressive behaviors keep young people from success
  
• Daily practices to change these behaviors.
