• Dangerous attitudes and beliefs that we bring to college
  
• Understanding rejection
  
• Understanding sexual assaults
  
• Myths and realities of relationships
  
• Understanding date or acquaintance rape
  
• Listening to your intuition

Assertiveness:

• Learning to set boundaries
  
• Using your body and voice to avoid danger
  
• Educating people on how to treat you
  
• How to avoid and handle aggressive behavior

Self Defense:

• Stopping someone their age or older from harming you
  
• Stopping adults from harming you
  
• Defense against a well-trained, padded attacker

Seminar Outcome

When we send our children off to college, we send them to get an education, not to be a victim of violence. Each participant will come away from this lecture with an awareness of the dangers that persist and the tools to avoid and stop someone from harming them.
