LECTURE OVERVIEW It is okay for a young girl not to know exactly what she wants. It is not okay for someone else to try to convince her of what she wants. With her mind and body changing so rapidly she may be susceptible to harm by others words and actions. Having the ability to educate strangers, casual acquaintances, best friends, and family about how she wants to be treated is the most important skill a young girl can have today. During this lecture and role-play we will teach them how to set boundaries as well as demonstrate how and when to speak up if someone says or does something inappropriate. LECTURE OUTLINE Why men and boys act the way they do towards you Not taking on negative words from others Trusting your intuition When to say something, when to walk away Not moving like a victim or a challenge Role play and activities to build awareness and assertiveness skillsLECTURE OUTCOME Andre Salvage and Associates, Inc. will provide a safe environment for each participant to experience speaking up in an appropriate and effective manner. |
