Andre Salvage and Associates Inc. Kung Fu San Soo Masters Program

This Masters Program was designed to share with students the physical, emotional and spiritual techniques and principles of Kung Fu San Soo to enable you to live free of the fears and issues that afflict us. The following Code of Conduct is given to provide information and clarity in regards to the rules and behaviors of the student. All students must read and sign to be a member of the Masters Program.

General Regulations

1. Students will perform the techniques, workouts and drills to the best of their ability.
2. It is required that the student give 200% of their attention, and ability while participating in the Masters Program.
3. Students are required to leave their ego at the door.
4. No student will participate in class under the influence of any recreational drug or alcohol.
5. Instructor must be informed if student is taking any medication.
6. Students are required to keep their uniform and themselves clean and free from offensive odors.
7. Students will respect their fellow students at all times.
8. Students will wear their belts during class and workout.
9. Dress Gi's will be worn during belt ceremonies and special occasions.
10. Instructor has the right to deny anyone the right to workout for any reason.
11. Students are not aloud to beat themselves up due to a mistake during a workout or drill.

Before Class Begins

1. Students will come to class emotionally, physically and spiritually prepared.
2. If student is knowingly not going to attend class or be late, students are required to contact and inform Master Salvage at (415) 479-7400.
3. Students will not eat heavily before class.
4. Students are requested to wait outside the class until 6:00pm or when door is open.
5. Students will come properly dress to workout, with the necessary equipment and belts.

Mats

1. Mats are to be handled with care:
No dragging
No slamming them down
No throwing them around

Bow

Full Bow

1. Students are required to execute a full bow upon entering the class, before the form and at the end of class.
In my hands I have no weapons,
For I will use my hands as weapons,
This I will do,
To the best of my ability

Respect Bow

1. Students are required to execute the respect bow before and after a workout,
I respect you and I will do /have done my best.
2. White to brown belts will bow with their left foot forward.
3. Black belts will bow with their right foot forward.
4. If you are working out with a black belt or a belt that is of higher rank (black and above) you are required to bow with your left foot forwards as a sign of respect.

Workout

1. The workout should be executed with care and safety in mind at all times.
2. No gum, candy or mints are allowed during the workout.
3. Both parties before or during the workout should determine the pace of the workout.
4. Lower belts are to throw the first punch.
5. If the workout becomes uncomfortable for anyone, both parties have the right to bow out.
6. Unless otherwise instructed or asked, the workout is not a time to instruct each other.
7. No loud or offensive talking during the workout.
8. Both parties are responsible to maintain an awareness of obstacles, children and other students while working out.
9. At all times respect the abilities and limitations of your workout partner.

Children

1. Children who are not participating in class must stay in designated child area.
2. Children who are not participating are not allowed on the mat at any time.
3. Children are required to be quiet during verbal instruction or while announcements are being made.
4. Parents and /or sitters are responsible for the safety of their children and should maintain an aware eye on them at all times.
5. Students are required to be aware of children, especially during the workout and weapons training.

Master Andre Salvage

1. Students are required to Salute when approaching Master Salvage before class and for private lessons.
2. All students are required to salute with their left foot when working out with Master Salvage.
3. Master Salvage will control the pace and type of workout at all times.
4. Students are not allowed to ask Master Salvage to workout.
5. Students are not allowed to pretend to kick, grab or punch towards Master Salvage at any time.
6. Students are required to respect Masters Salvage's conversations with other students by not interrupting, and waiting until Master Salvage is finished talking or working out with them.
7. In the absence of Master Salvage, students are required to show the same respect and attention to the Instructor of the class, or the Exercise instructor.
8. Hugs are given by request or demand, 5-second minimum.

Payments

1. All class payments are due on or before the end of the month. NO EXCEPTIONS!
2. If you are unable to attend class at the end on the month please mail check to:

3. If payments are over five days late a $10.00 late charge will be added to your fees.
4. If you are planing to go on vacation or be away for an extended time, payments are still due if you plan to continue your training.
5. Payments for private lessons are due at the time of scheduling.

Failure to comply with any of these rules and codes of conduct will result in immediate dismissal. Master Andre Salvage reserves the right to dismiss any student for any reason or breach of contract.
