During the lecture we will discuss some of the habitual and unproductive ways people listen, and offer suggestions on how to change this behavior. Here are some of the topics we will cover: - The power of words.
- Listening with the protection of the ego.
- Listening with your True Nature.
- Hearing the message behind the words.
- Acknowledging what you hear.
Assertiveness Assertiveness is like a muscle that needs exercising. Through real life role-play we will practice hearing others objectively and asserting ourselves effectively. - Knowing the difference between Assertiveness, Aggressiveness and Passiveness.
- Educating people on how to treat you.
