LECTURE OVERVIEW

One constant issue teen deal with but not too many people talk about is the matter of rejection. Being rejected as well as saying no to someone can be devastating in the teen years and negatively affect everything they do.

Many teens have their own way of handling rejection but often these are unhealthy coping tools that lead to self-abuse or harassment.

This lecture is an uplifting discussion about way to handle rejection whether they are on the receiving or delivering end.

  • There’s nothing wrong with you
  • Saying no with courage and care
  • Taking things personally
  • No does not mean I hate you and your dog

LECTURE OUTCOME

The fear of being rejected stops teens from making healthy decisions, moving passed their comfort zone and often affects them as adults. This lecture will provide tools and principles that teens can remember and use when it come to rejection.
