This Web site was built from the ground up for Andre by two of his favorite students (don't believe him if he tries to deny it): Nate Perry-Thistle and Kathia Zolfaghari.
Nate used a few great OpenSource software packages to create this totally self-contained database driven Web site including the Apache Web server, Perl, Mason, OpenSSL and mod_ssl, all running on a RedHat Linux server.
All of this terrific software allows Andre to have a site tailored to his unique needs without incurring the tremendous expense expected for a project of this scope.
- The form based tools for editing the site allow Andre complete control over nearly every single bit of text on the site without needing to know HTML or having to hire a person to maintain it.
- The templating and object-oriented featues of HTML::Mason allow the site to grow automatically as Andre adds courses or products to the system. New pages are linked and can be sorted to appear in any order he chooses. No manual HTML, no uploading, no expensive labor.
If you would be intrested in a having a site like this built for your own business or personal use please contact us.
