| Andre Salvage and Associates, Inc. has worked with Canal Alliance for two years now. This year the foundation has provided the funding to instruct an assault prevention class for 60 to 80 students. The class will focus on developing the skills of critical thinking, being aware of our impact on others, living from the True Nature, and life principles that will help them achieve their goals.
This year Andre Salvage and Associates, Inc. will also be holding a communication and teamwork class for twelve teachers at Canal Alliance. This workshop will allow teachers to become effective communicators, enabling them to resolve conflicts, listen to the messages behind the words, and express themselves clearly, confidently and assertively, so they can work as a cohesive team.

"In having worked this past year with Mr. Salvage, our students have expressed how much they learned with the desire to continue to participate in further workshops. In fact, 94% of the students stated that they felt safer in the community than last year where only 86% of the students felt safe. These workshops covered street safety and conflict resolution techniques that have provided students with life changing skills that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
In addition, the youth staff team participated in an Assault Prevention Seminar of which every single staff member described the training as unbelievably exceptional. In fact, several staff members have gone on to take further trainings because of the one day seminar. We were able to receive specialized safety training in awareness, assertiveness and physical self-defense in order to empower staff members to feel comfortable addressing these issues with the youth and in our own lives."

This will be the fifth year that we have provided services to RVB. Through funding provided by the foundation, Andre Salvage and Associates, Inc. has done a variety of classes from poverty consciousness removal, to assault prevention classes to children and teens.
This year Andre Salvage will teach a series of self defense training classes to ten young men. This program will be developed to help young boys face the dangers and pressures of school and the streets objectively and confidently. In an honest and safe environment, we share with young men the tools necessary to be objective in how they view threatening situations, and are able to stop someone from harming them.

"I am really looking forward to collaborating yet again; it is always such a rewarding experience for our youth participants! I know I've said it time and time again, but it is incredible to have access to such a valuable resource, both in terms of the curriculum as well as your caring and skilled staff."

| The Andre Salvage Foundation has provided funding to instruct two martial arts classes a month to the KIPP SF Bay Academy for over a year now. The classes focus on martial arts and help young men and women face the dangers and pressures that can occur in school and on the streets, with confidence and objectivity. In an honest and safe environment, we share with them the tools necessary to view threatening situations with objectivity, in order to stop someone from harming them.
This year the classes will focus on teaching the basic techniques of Kung Fu San Soo, which is a combination of punches, kicks, strikes and blocks. They will learn how to apply the principles of physics, involving movement and leverages, emphasizing agility, balance, intuition, coordination, humility and respect for others.

"The lessons our students learned about discipline, fitness, self control, self respect and respect for others through Mr. Salvage's classes, are monumental....The work that Mr. Salvage did with our young scholars is nothing short of incredible. We strongly believe that his influence will help push our students and aid them in climbing the mountain to college. His methods fit perfectly with our mission and we are so grateful to him and the sponsor from last year for giving us the incredible opportunity to work with Mr. Salvage."

The Andre Salvage Foundation has allowed for instructors to conduct many Assault Prevention classes with the young women at Phoenix Academy. The classes have focused on teaching the girls important life principles of communication, assertiveness, finding your voice, de-escalating situations and safety. The classes have also emphasized teaching the children self defense to allow them the confidence to get out of a harmful situation and listen to their intuition.
We have also taught classes to the young men at Phoenix Academy. These classes have provided a safe environment for each participant to experience speaking up in an appropriate and effective manner, as well as sharing with them the tools necessary to view threatening situations objectively, and stop someone from harming them. |

Our work with "Andre Salvage and Associates has been beneficial to our population and it supports our program goals of introducing possibilities that these youth rarely experience in their own life situations. Andre has been able to meet our youth where they can actually engage, and feel like they are gaining valuable information and a new way to approach the lessons we all confront in life. He and his staff meet their resistance head on and work with them until they are willing to participate on their own accord. He and his associates have much to offer to this community of youth that frequently change and need to receive positive messages regularly."

| In July of 2004 Andre Salvage and Associates, Inc. held an Assault Prevention workshop for ETC's Youth LEAD Program at Angel Island. The foundation provided the funding allowing over 25 disabled students to learn about personal safety with an emphasis on awareness, assertiveness and self defense. In a safe environment, we shared with them the tools necessary to view threatening situations objectively, and stop someone from harming them. A child's ability to protect themselves begins with belief and confidence in self. The class teaches students to utilize objectivity to become aware of the dangers that exist and give them real life tools to handle, avoid, control, and stop threatening situations. |

"Andre, it was truly amazing to see the transformation in the Youth LEAD students last year as they each found their voice, inner strength, and the ability to defend themselves. What a gift! Your generosity is deeply appreciated and has enabled your teachings and skills to be accessible to youth who would otherwise not have this amazing opportunity."
